Gig Harbor Neighborhoods
Downtown GH, Gig Harbor
Downtown Gig Harbor is the harbor village itself: the waterfront along Harborview Drive, the working marina, and the hillside of view homes above it. The housing stock spans more than a century, from original fishing-village cottages to new construction built into the hillside. It is the most visible and most searched real estate in the area, and it behaves accordingly.

What makes Downtown GH different
Walkability carries a measurable premium
Being able to walk to the waterfront, restaurants, and the marina is rare in this region, and downtown pricing reflects it. Comparable square footage a five-minute drive away trades at a real discount.
The view is the asset
On the hillside, two otherwise similar homes can be separated significantly in price by sightlines to the harbor and Mount Rainier. Understanding exactly what a view is worth, and what can block it later, is central to every downtown transaction.
A century of housing stock in a few blocks
A 1920s cottage, a 1970s remodel, and a 2020 build can sit on the same street. Condition, systems, and permit history vary enormously, which makes inspection strategy matter more here than in newer plats.
